We’re looking for someone to assist with preparing and clearing away breakfast for about 110 guests on the morning of an event we're hosting on 23rd May 2026 (ignore "flexible" date in the top line), in Newton Abbot, Devon. Responsibilities include: - Prepare simple Full English breakfast items from ingredients available, such as scrambled eggs and avocado slices - Baking products such as sausages, hash browns, and bacon in the oven - Setting out ready-made foods (bread, cereal, milk, juices, jam etc.) - Helping to clear away all items and clean up, including washing dishes The service is required from about 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM (4–5 hours, details tbc). The venue has a small industrial kitchen with all necessary equipment for your exclusive use. All food items will be provided and ready for service or handling as described above in the kitchen. Experience with food handling and kitchen work and relevant certificates or training are required. The person will be expected to arrange their own transport to the venue. Having a car will make this easier but it might also be possible by public transport and walking. Please get in touch with your availability and rates.

Do you have experience with catering events? I am looking for one friendly person to 1. Keep the party area and side tables clear of dirty dishes, rubbish and recycling throughout the event 2. Wash up and restock plates and cups continually 3. Monitor and restock food, drinks and snacks on the buffet table. 4. Look out for and clean up messes and generally keep things tidy. 5. Tidy up and restock toilets throughout the day. There are several flights of stairs between the kitchen and garden so there will be lots of climbing up and down! Arrival at 1:30pm to help set up, guests arrive from 3pm. My budget is £15 per hour, and it will be up to 7 hours. If you charge more, I salute you, but I cannot afford it so no need to respond with crazy high offers. It's fairly casual and perhaps 30-40 people. ***As it is outdoors, it will be weather dependent but we'll decide whether it is canceled at least 24 hours before. - Due date: Needs to be done on Saturday, 16 August 2025

They arrived 1.5 hours later than scheduled. The owner of the company did not keep we informed as to the reason why they were late. As a result the food was served much later than planned. I was later told that the owner was in hospital. If i had been communicated before hand my husband and I would have served all the food ourselves on time. The girls were polite and kind.
