We’re having a DIY wedding taking place in a marquee in August 2026 and are looking for a reliable, organised cleaner / event helper to assist with a wedding marquee turnaround during the latter part of the evening, so the space is ready to use the following morning. The celebration will still be ongoing when you arrive; this role is behind-the-scenes and carried out discreetly while guests are present, to ensure the marquee can be cleared, closed by 12am and ready for use the following morning. This is not a teardown or dismantling role. All structures, décor, and supplier equipment will remain in place, and suppliers will manage their own equipment. Likely duties include (non-exhaustive): - General tidying of the marquee - Waste removal to on-site bins only (bagged rubbish) - Vacuuming carpeted areas - Light mopping of hard flooring (dancefloor) - Rearranging / resetting tables - Putting on clean linen where required - Assisting with small transition / odd jobs as needed - Maintaining luxury toilets during the evening, including; Routine cleanliness checks, Restocking toilet paper, hand towels, and soap, Light wipe-down of surfaces as required. Basic cleaning supplies will be available on site (e.g. hoover, mop, bucket, cloths, spray) but do let us know in advance if you require anything specific. This role would suit someone with event, venue, or cleaning experience who is happy working independently, discreetly, and calmly while an event is ongoing, helping ensure a smooth close-down and a ready-to-use space for the morning.

Hi. I'm looking for someone to help with clearing up after a big family meal (18 people). Every year, my family get together to cook a Christmas dinner and everyone helps out with the prep, cooking and serving. Every year, we say how great it would be if we didn't then have to spend time clearing it all up again so this year we thought that maybe we could hire someone in take on the bulk of the job. I, particularly, would like to relax and play boardgames with my kids, neices and nephews instead! We plan to eat at 3pm so we'd like you to come from 4pm until 7pm. There is a dishwasher and cleaning supplies are provided. Some of the pots and pans are too big for the dishwasher so will need to be hand washed. The leftover food would need to be boxed up and the kitchen would need to be wiped down and everything put away. We're a friendly bunch and we'd really appreciate your help.
