4 x 1950s/1960s dining chairs. The frames come loose when used as the frames aren’t secure so the legs and back can come loose. Fix the frame and make sturdy again. Joints are glued and probably need cleaning to remove ineffectual old glue.

Hello, we are an antiques shop in Brighton, I am trying to replace the Gas Strut on a Vintage EA217 Eames Soft Pad Desk Chair. We have the new strut and have removed the old one from the base, but I cannot get it out of the chair. I have tried hammering and some plumbers grips to twist it but it won't budge. Do anyone have the experience tools and ability to do this without damaging the chair? Many thanks, Simon
