Here's what to expect when you book an old appliance removal through Airtasker:

Assessing your appliances for removal

Removing your appliances starts by assessing their condition. Most home appliances, such as refrigerators, air conditioners, and washing machines, can be weighty and contain heavy metals and toxic chemicals that pose a danger when mishandled or disposed of incorrectly. That's why it's better to let an expert do the job. As soon as your Tasker arrives, they can check your unit for any damages and determine the safest way to take them out of your property.

Junk appliance removal

Once all the details are straightened out, your Tasker then works quickly to haul away your items. Each appliance is safely unplugged, and all loose parts taped down before loading them into a truck or large vehicle ready for disposal. Whether it's a small stove or a large refrigerator, Taskers can quickly and safely remove any appliance with minimal fuss and no damage to your property.

If you're planning a move or want to declutter your space, you can even ask your Tasker to remove all your remaining rubbish and clear your entire house. You can have a fresh start with a cleaner, tidier space.

Appliance disposal and recycling

Big appliances are difficult enough to carry, but do you know where to go once you've loaded them into your vehicle? When you hire a Tasker to help you out, they can also take care of your appliance disposal. Once they remove your junk appliances from your home, they move or transport them safely to local charities or recycling centres.

If your old items are still in good working order, they will be up for donation. Meanwhile, damaged or broken ones will be transferred to a recycling facility to ensure they are disposed of safely and environmentally friendly.
