I’m looking for someone to help with two jobs in my flat: 1. Install 2 curtain poles I already have the curtain poles, brackets and fittings. However, the ceilings are very high and I don’t have a drill or suitable ladder, so you would need to bring your own tools. 2. Connect my washing machine The washing machine is already in position. I’ve identified the additional plumbing parts needed from Screwfix, but I need someone to fit them and connect the machine properly. I have mobility difficulties due to a disability, so unfortunately I’m unable to complete these jobs myself. Ideally, I’d like someone who can do both jobs in one visit. Thank you! 😊

I moved in to the property and the previous owner has left things like a washing machine, bikes and a mattress in there and there are lots of leaves as the roof is broken, looking for a quote to empty it and fix the roof if possible

Hi there! We live in Kings Heath in a 1900s property that needs a bit of love. Our kitchen in particular needs a good refresh, but we’re keen to avoid ripping everything out and starting from scratch, as the existing layout and cabinet carcasses are generally staying. The main work we’re looking at is: - Replacing the existing worktop with Corian, including a new sink. - Removing the existing wall cupboards (we can do this) and wall tiles, repairing the walls and installing new tiles and a couple of floating shelves. - Converting existing base cupboards into drawers. - Replacing the washing machine and extractor fan. - Refreshing the existing cabinets with paint and new handles, and repainting the walls. We’re happy to take on some of the DIY ourselves, particularly the decorating and painting, but would appreciate professional help with the more technical work, particularly the drawers and chippy work, worktop fitting and sink installation. We’re working with a budget of around £5,000-£10,000 for the overall refresh, so we’re keen to understand what’s realistic and where it makes sense to invest. We’d love to keep the kitchen practical and hard-wearing, as I work as a private chef, while making it feel much brighter and more considered. Would this be the sort of project you take on? If so, we’d love to arrange a visit to talk through the options and get an idea of costs. It would also be great to know whether you’re happy to work on a project where we’re sourcing some materials and doing some of the finishing ourselves. Thanks so much, and look forward to hearing from you! Attached are images of the kitchen as is.
