Looking for event staff I can trust to set up high tea events for me on a casual ongoing basis. Includes: Picking up our van that will be packed with the tableware and catering from Normanhurst (ideally you will be local) - Driving the van to the event location (on weekends mainly homes and sometimes hired venues). On weekdays it is mostly corporate businesses Unpacking van and carrying/trolleying (where possible) it to the event space Setting the tables (the client set the tables/chairs up in position prior to arrival) with tablecloths, plates, teacups, cutlery, napkins, cake stands, teapots, milk/sugar bowls and sometimes champagne flutes and tumblers Setting out the catering on cake stands prior to guest arrivals, filling teapots with boiling water, filling jam and cream bowls and milk and sugar bowls Warming the savoury items in the client's oven (occasionally using our air-fryer if there is no oven). Timing it so that the hot food is ready as the guests are seated Departing event once guests arrive and returning 3 hours later to pack everything back into the boxes and van and return it to me in Normanhurst (you do not have to wash everything but I do request that the teapots, jam and cream bowls and milk and sugar bowls are washed prior to repacking otherwise they make a big mess). - On occasion the client may pay to have you be present for the entire event as a "waiter". There isn't really much to do in this circumstance other than refilling teapots and topping up drinks. If this is the case you would be reimbursed for the additional time onsite. - Set up usually takes 2hrs and pack down 1hr for an average size event of 30 pax. You will need to be: RELIABLE Fit and able to carry boxes of tableware/catering Well presented Have excellent customer service skills Event/hospitality experience is a bonus 2-6 weeks notice for bookings. Can train 7/8 and 14/15 Feb Casual/ad hoc requirement. $35ph for set up/pack down and $20ph for the 3hr wait
