Hi, I’m looking for a skilled carpenter / joiner / cabinet maker to design and build a custom front table / counter for my market stall. I’ve attached a reference image to show the general look and style I’m aiming for (modern, timber and black, clean and professional), but this needs to be purpose-built for real market use rather than decorative furniture. The table needs to be collapsible or modular so it can be packed down and transported easily. It must be lightweight enough to move, but strong and stable enough to comfortably hold a pie warmer and basic service equipment — it cannot be flimsy. Minimum depth required is 50cm. Total length will be approximately 2–3 metres, and I’m open to advice on the best modular layout. It will be freestanding inside a marquee and needs to sit level on uneven ground. Materials would ideally be timber (or timber-look panels) with black structural elements, finished cleanly and professionally for food market use. The front panel should allow for a logo to be added later (likely an acrylic sign). I’m open to modular sections rather than one long piece, and I’ll need space for staff entry/exit at one end. Happy to collaborate on practical improvements — function is just as important as aesthetics. Please include any relevant experience or photos of similar work, a rough price range, estimated build time, and any suggestions you think would improve the design. I have a storage hot water system in the garage with a relief valve that currently discharges into a catch tray. The tray overflows, causing water pooling and minor wall damage. I need a licensed plumber to extend or redirect the discharge pipe to a compliant drain point. After redirecting the discharge, please also clean and dry the catch tray and surrounding area so no residual water or debris remains. The hot water system itself is operating normally. Hi! I’m looking for a carpenter / experienced handyman to build a simple under-stairs storage enclosure in my home in Fitzroy. This is not a full cabinetry job (no brickwork, no fancy joinery). A clean, well-finished plywood / MDF solution is perfect. I had to repair some tiles And now I have grout haze across about 20 tiles When I grouted I was using clean water and a sponge and it looked great until it dried. I got advice, used hydrochloric acid which removed majority But there is still some haze in the tiles, which are a an outdoor porcelain, not exactly a smooth face Please help.. (Last photo shows it before the acid wash)
