I am looking for an experienced landscaper, handyman or builder to carry out a small garden project. Labour Only – I will purchase and supply all materials separately. Remove old decking and lay new paving/patio I’m looking for someone experienced to remove and dispose of an existing area of timber decking and replace it with paving. The condition of the ground underneath the decking is not yet known. The job may therefore involve some preparation or foundation work before the paving can be laid, such as: * Removing the decking, timber frame and existing supports * Clearing and disposing of all waste * Assessing the ground and existing base underneath * Excavating or levelling the area if required * Installing an appropriate sub-base and compacting it * Allowing for suitable drainage and a fall away from the house * Laying and pointing the paving * Leaving the area clean and tidy I would like someone who has previous experience laying patios or paving, rather than decking removal alone. Please explain: 1. Your relevant experience with patio or paving installations 2. Whether you can remove and legally dispose of the old decking 3. Whether you can supply the necessary materials or would prefer me to order them (I don't mind, but we do want some nice paving - york stone or equivalent) 4. Your availability to visit, inspect the area and provide an estimate 5. Whether your price includes labour, waste disposal and any equipment required The final scope may need to be agreed once the decking has been lifted and the condition of the ground underneath is visible. The priority is to identify and permanently resolve the source of water ingress rather than simply carrying out cosmetic repairs. I need the whole garden clean from tree roots, all gone, there are so many branches as well as roots deep into the ground. I want the soil to be levelled as well as cleaned. I want the bricks to be removed as well as the black heavy mat which imbedded into the ground. The task is a bit big. But I also want all the plants gone. Completely gone, should only see the ground. As well as the plant holder against the wall, needs to go, the bricks, everything levelled from there, as well all the plants, and roots. I want a clean garden without anything around, as I’m disabled I can’t have anything which may cause me to have a problem. It’s a small garden. I don’t want the growth next year. I would like it to be cleaned. So I can actually get paving or concrete done in the future. If you could do this that would be a bonus.
