Supply and lay turf, edging, gravel borders and clean paving Looking for an experienced gardener/landscaper in Chafford Hundred, Grays, Essex. Please quote a fixed price including ALL materials, delivery, labour, tools and waste disposal. Two lawn sections, each approximately 4m x 6m (48m² total), need replacing after drought damage. Work required: • Remove old grass and weeds, including roots, and dispose of waste. • Prepare and level the ground, loosen compacted soil and remove stones/debris. Supply screened topsoil or soil improver where required. • Supply and lay good-quality fresh natural turf suitable for a family garden with some shade. Firm the ground, lay with staggered tight joints, neatly trim edges and water afterwards. • Supply and install approximately 12 metres of charcoal/black concrete block edging between lawns and fence-side borders, properly bedded and secured, flush with the lawn for mowing. • Clear bare side borders, install permeable weed membrane with pegs, and spread small decorative gravel approximately 5cm deep. Include an economical gravel option. • After laying the lawn, jet wash all existing garden block paving, including the central path and patio areas. Remove weeds and moss, then refill joints once dry with suitable weed-inhibiting block-paving jointing sand, following product instructions. Protect new turf and prevent dirty water or cleaning products entering the pond. • Keep the existing layout, trees, pond, shed and fences. Avoid damaging tree roots or piling soil/gravel against trunks. No membrane beneath turf. • Remove all waste, leave everything tidy and provide lawn aftercare instructions. Check measurements, paving area and border widths before ordering materials. Keep as much lawn as possible. Photos and AI reference images will be attached. Plants, pots and alterations to buildings or pond are excluded.

My front garden sits right behind a busy bus stop, so it gets treated as part of the waiting area. Kids sit on the pillars and the gate, people lean on the railings, and litter gets pushed through the fencing or rolls in underneath. I'd like it cleared, sealed off and made properly private. The main job is a solid 3D artificial hedge, 2m tall and about 45 to 50cm deep so it sits flush with the brick pillars. It's a proper block like a clipped hedge, not a flat screen. It would run directly behind the brick walls and metal railings in two sections either side of the gate: one along the railing facing the communal entrance, and one along the street wall by my front window and the bus stop, through to next door. It needs shaping neatly into the corners and around the pillars, and anchoring to the paving rather than fixing to the building. Alongside that: Remove all weeds from the paving, drainage channels and wall bases, and clear the litter Patch the gaps in the metal railings and close off the gap underneath, as none of it reaches the ground Fit non-harmful anti-sit deterrents to the brick pillar tops and along the top of the railings Anti-sit and anti-lean on the gate, plus more privacy on it, which I'm happy to talk through on site The gateway, the manhole cover and the drainage channel all need to stay clear. Please quote for supply and fit, including materials. You're very welcome to come and measure first. Thank you!
