Design and complete a clean, low-maintenance, and functional backyard landscape suitable for regular use. The finished area should be tidy, practical, and visually simple. 1. Site preparation and demolition • Remove and dispose of existing garden debris, leaf litter, trimmed branches, and unwanted plants. • Remove and legally dispose of several large rocks/boulders currently located within the landscaped area. • Minor excavation and levelling as required to support the final design. • Protect existing structures, pergola posts, fence, and house walls during works. 2. Earthworks and ground treatment • Address the slight slope to ensure safe, stable, and practical ground levels. • Improve drainage if required to prevent water pooling. • Prepare ground for new surface finishes. 3. Landscape design and construction • Propose a simple, clean layout focused on function and ease of maintenance. • Suitable options may include paving, stepping stones, gravel, or other hardscape solutions (open to contractor recommendations). • Minimise planting. If plants are proposed, they should be low-maintenance and appropriate for the site conditions. • Ensure transitions between paved areas, garden beds, and existing paths are neat and safe. 4. Finishing and clean-up • Final levelling, edging, and tidy finishes. • Full site clean on completion with all waste removed from site. • Leave the area ready for immediate use.
