Looking for a handyman to supply and fit a like-for-like replacement door handle for our bedroom door, with a thumb turn privacy lock. Current setup (photos available): a satin/brushed nickel "wave" style lever on a rectangular backplate, fitted with a plain tubular latch, no lock. I'd like the same style and finish, but as a bathroom/privacy set with a thumb turn inside and emergency release outside. The job: - Supply a matching satin nickel wave lever-on-plate bathroom set with thumb turn, plus a bathroom mortice lock - Remove the existing handle and tubular latch - Cut a mortice into the door edge for the bathroom lock and fit the new handles, all working smoothly before you leave Handles I've found that should fit (not fussy though, anything decent quality in the same style and finish is fine): - Heritage Brass Sophia bathroom set (V4142-SN) with Eurospec Easi-T bathroom lock (BAE5030SN) from handles4u - Or Smith & Locke Bude WC handles (585HY) with their bathroom lock (486PX) from Screwfix Both are 57mm centres for a standard 35mm internal door; the existing plate is roughly 155-185 x 40mm.
