Heavy wooden living room door (used to be front door b4 porch built) has a lock that comes loose every couple of months or so. Want to replace the lock with a more heavy duty, durable lock to match the door & maybe need to cover up existing lock hole & create new one for the new lock. Just need a better solution.

I need a handyman or locksmith to replace an existing standard internal door handle and latch with a lockable Euro cylinder setup on two bedroom doors. The lock needs to open via a key from the outside, and a thumb turn from the inside. Job requirements: • Remove the current handles and latch mechanism. • Install a new Euro sashlock case into the existing mortice slot. • Install a Euro cylinder barrel (key/thumb turn) and a matching pair of Euro profile handles. • Adjust/replace the strike plate on the door frame so both the latch and deadbolt lock smoothly. Hardware: • I will purchase and supply the matching handles, sashlock case, and thumb-turn cylinder prior to your arrival. You only need to bring installation tools. Please mention your experience with mortice/Euro lock retrofitting when making an offer.
