Initial Job Brief - Technical / Policy and Procedures Writer Background - The new strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards were introduced as part of the Aged Care Act 2024, and these standards are written and structured differently from the previous standards Our policies need to be uplifted and aligned to the new set of reforms. Primarily a remediation t exercise Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced contract Technical Writer / Policy and Procedures Writer to primarily update and remediate certain policies. The Immediate Ask: There are 3 policies for Standard 4 The Environment which we want remediated and consolidated into a single policy manual. The ideal candidate will have a • Policy Experience: strong background in policy writing for regulated industries preferably aged care. • Writing Proficiency: Strong writing skills. • Understanding of Aged Care Regulations: Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and standards governing aged care. (preferred) • Attention to Detail: Precision in ensuring that policies are accurate, coherent, and compliant with regulatory requirements. • Analytical Thinking: Skills to analyse complex issues and evaluate different policy options and their implications. Key Responsibilities: • Develop, review, and update policies in accordance with our standardised policy format, adhere to the style guide and relevant aged care standards. • Translate complex information into clear, accessible documents for different audiences. Add additional content as needs by the revised template. • Deliver polished, ready-to-implement policy documents within agreed timelines. Outcomes and Estimate Remediate policy documents Our estimate is: Total approximately 9 hours.
