Carpenter / Fencing Specialist Needed – Timber Slat Fencing on Garden Walls (Whitechapel, E1) Hi everyone! We’re looking for an experienced carpenter or fencing specialist to help us replace the existing metal security fencing on top of our garden’s brick walls with something a little more modern and attractive. The current metal fencing looks quite industrial, and we’d love to replace it with horizontal timber slats, ideally in a natural cedar/oak colour, to create a warmer and more contemporary look. Job details: * Location: Whitechapel, East London (E1) * Left-hand brick wall: approximately 10 metres * Back brick wall: approximately 4–5 metres * Total length: approximately 14–15 metres * Proposed timber height: around 40–50 cm above the existing walls * Remove and dispose of the existing metal security fencing * Supply and install horizontal timber slats, including suitable supports and fixings * Ideally use treated timber suitable for outdoor conditions * Ensure everything is securely fitted, taking into account the height and condition of the existing brick walls We’d also like to explore some subtle security/anti-climb options that don’t look as harsh as the existing metal fencing. We’re open to recommendations on materials and installation methods, particularly if there are cost-effective alternatives that achieve a similar finish. I’ve attached photos of the current garden and some inspiration images showing what we’d like to achieve. We’re looking for someone experienced, reliable and reasonably priced. Please get in touch with your estimated cost (ideally including materials, labour and removal of the existing fencing), availability and examples of similar work you’ve completed. Happy to arrange a site visit if needed. Thanks so much!

kitchen under-counter lighting to be replaced, lounge down-lights to be replaced, bedroom light fitted - There is a bathroom fan that needs re-securing and a bathroom light that needs looking at... its temperamental, may be a bulb or loose wiring. By way of guidance, to me this is just general remove, replace, refit work and I'm not in a rush to have it done, but it needs doing and may suit you fitting it in an around other jobs..

Home gym equipment assembly and wall mounting I'm looking for an experienced installer to assemble and securely wall-mount two pieces of gym equipment in my home garage: 1. Folding wall-mounted squat rack. 2. Rival Strength wall-mounted cable pulley machine. Both items require assembly and fixing securely to the garage wall. I'm looking for someone with experience installing gym equipment and undertaking heavy-duty wall mountings, who can assess the wall construction and use appropriate fixings. I do not believe the kit has come with the required fittings so would need the installer to provide those or advise me exactly what to purchase. Both are to be fitted to two different walls in an external garage. The garage has a single layer of plasterboard stuck directly onto the garage brick work.

I’m moving out from my current flat and need the walls to be repainted. My toddler stained the walls with lipsticks, crayons, pens, markers, so on. The paint is some sort of light yellow I believe it’s called magnolia. Furthermore I need to some minor fixing here and there, like wood, wall filling. Putting new silicone on the edges of the basin and bathtub. I can provide the paint not the tools though. Thank you!
