Hi! I’m looking for an experienced handyman or flooring installer to help refresh my small kitchen in a rental flat. The job includes: * Thoroughly cleaning and degreasing the existing floor to prepare it for installation. * Installing peel-and-stick vinyl floor tiles (I’ll provide the flooring). * Trimming tiles neatly around the edges for a clean finish. * Leaving the area tidy afterwards. I’m looking for someone with experience installing self-adhesive vinyl flooring and who takes pride in getting a neat, professional finish. This is the first phase of a larger home studio refresh. If the work goes well, I’ll likely have more jobs in the coming months

I’m looking for an experienced floor sanding specialist to restore the timber floor in a small front room in my house in East London. The floor is engineered oak (I believe), and has surface scratches, scuff marks and some black marks from general wear. Before committing to the work, I’d like you to assess whether the floor has sufficient wear layer to be professionally sanded and refinished. If suitable, I’m looking for: * Light sanding of the existing floor * Filling any minor gaps if required * Professional finish with a durable matt lacquer or hardwax oil (happy to discuss the best option) * Leave the floor looking as close to new as possible The room is approximately 7.4 m² (around 2.3 m × 3.2 m). Please quote including: * Labour * Materials * Dust extraction equipment (preferably dust-free sanding) * Number of coats included * Estimated duration Please only respond if you have experience restoring engineered oak flooring and can provide photos of previous work. I’m also happy for you to advise whether restoration is worthwhile or whether replacement would be a better option.

I have a wooden floor that has been damaged by a small leak/spill of Mr Muscle drain unblocker. The affected area has become dull, discoloured and turned slightly white after being wiped with water. I'm looking for someone with experience to install the laminate floorboards in my living room. Room size = 11.5m2 The room has already been prepped - I have taken off the skirting boards, prepped the floor with plywood and put down the underlay. I have a multitool and mitre cutter which can be used if tools are required. Scope of works to complete: - Install laminate flooring throughout the room - Leave the appropriate expansion gap around the perimeter - Use a multi tool to cut under the door architrave so the laminate floorboard slips neatly under this - Make neat cuts around the door frame, radiator pipes and any other obstacles - Ensure a clean, professional finish - Leave the room clean and tidy (I can dispose of the rubbish)
