I’m looking for an experienced handyman/carpenter to create a modern TV feature wall in my bedroom using warm medium-walnut acoustic slat panels with black backing. I do not want the entire wall panelled. I want a neat floor-to-ceiling rectangular section centred behind my existing wall-mounted TV, extending slightly beyond the TV on both sides, similar to my image uploaded. The remaining wall should stay plain (I have intentionally not included the whole wall just the wall I want) The job would include removing/remounting the TV if necessary, accurately measuring/cutting and securely fitting the walnut slat panels, cutting neatly around skirting/sockets where required, and ensuring the TV bracket is securely fixed through the panels into the appropriate solid wall/studs. I currently have a visible black TV cable running down the wall which I want completely concealed, either behind the panels or using an appropriate safe cable-management solution. I would also like warm LED lighting (around 2700–3000K) incorporated discreetly around/behind the panelled section to create a soft ambient glow. Finally, I would like a very slim floating walnut/walnut-effect shelf beneath the TV, approximately 15–20 cm deep, subject to measurements, as there is limited space between the end of my bed and the TV wall. I do NOT want a large TV/media unit. I can purchase the panels, LED lighting and shelf myself once advised on the correct quantities/sizes, or I’m happy for the tasker to advise what materials would work best. Please only make an offer if you have experience fitting acoustic/slat wall panels and mounting TVs. Any electrical work required must be completed safely/by someone appropriately qualified.

CONSUMER UNIT: Supply/install new metal CU for 9 circuits with individual Type A RCBOs for all 9 + SPD; remove/dispose existing CU and install in same location; extend wiring/cables and meter tails where necessary; provide glands, blanking plates, auxiliary materials/trunking where necessary; fully test; issue Electrical Installation Certificate with test results + Building Regulations/Part P notification/certificate. EICR – MUST be included: You must carry out the full EICR inspection and issue the EICR certificate yourself. Rectify all issues in the failed EICR, including circuits 1–6, to obtain a Satisfactory EICR. Confirm which issues the new CU resolves; identify/quote faults elsewhere needing remedial work; include all reasonably foreseeable remedial works. After completion, test/retest and issue the Satisfactory EICR certificate if compliant. EICR INTERVAL: Aim for a Satisfactory EICR with recommended 5-year inspection interval, where appropriate; inspector determines the interval. SHOWER FAN: Supply/install suitable replacement extractor fan; recommend model + estimated cost before purchase; remove/dispose old fan, connect/test. I reimburse actual fan cost against receipt, subject to prior approval. ALL-INCLUSIVE / NO SURPRISE FEES: Price must include all labour, CU/RCBOs/SPD, normal materials, foreseeable wiring work, testing, certificates/Part P, full EICR inspection + certificate, all EICR remedial works/retest, fan installation/disposal, Congestion Charge, parking and normal travel/vehicle costs. I’m looking for an experienced handyman to complete the following installation jobs: • Install a 350cm IKEA VIDGA curtain track inside a high-up curtain pelmet. The pelmet is approx. 340cm wide and 312cm high. I have purchased 3 x IKEA VIDGA single track sets. The tracks will need to be measured, cut to the required length, joined together and securely installed inside the pelmet. Once installed, the curtain also needs to be put onto the track. • Put lampshades on 2 high-up ceiling lights • Install 3 x 80cm shelves in the kitchen above the sink • Install a TV bracket onto the wall and securely mount the TV onto the bracket Please only apply if you have experience with these types of installations and are comfortable working at height. A suitable tall step ladder will be required for the curtain track and high-up lights. Please bring the appropriate tools and fixings needed to securely install the items.
