I have plans produced by an architect for a house extension. I need a licenced builder who could produce basic cost estimate for the build purely to accompany the DA submission. The cost estimate for the build is approx $150k. The architect has produced a cost estimate of this project that I plan to build by myself, not using a builder. The council that is the approving authority requested to provide cost estimate for the build by a licences builder or fully qualified architect. Our architect does not have the full formal qualifications and Council rejected their costing. I have done my costing too. This is just a formality for the council.

Hi there, Bec here - I am a celebrant & having trouble finding a small oval narrow table for my home office study. I am after a table, for a small space (my study / office downstairs) & I have spent hours trying to find something & they are all far too big for my space. Then I thought Maybe I can make one, then laughed at myself & then thought maybe it could be someone handy & has the tools & does it as a hobby. Im after an oval table that is more slimline - perhaps something 1.2-1.5m max long & 60-80cm max wide. Its for my couples to sit at in my study / marry them in legal only scenario - I am currently re-doing the floor & space after 8 years & trying to make it more professional & modern. I realise the attachment prob cant be recreated - but the shape of the top is what I am thinking. Although if we can have something similar would be amazing. The feet - just something stable & minimality but maybe I can but feet from Ikea? Hubby said maybe MDF ? Is this something you maybe keen on - totally okay if not & thanks for reading. First things first- this is a carpentry task and I have listed not "in-person" as you will need to build elsewhere. I would love this to be completed in June, but my due date is flexible. Went to purchase a new IKEA Hemnes wardrobe... but the style has been discontinued. Boo!! So... I'm seeking a second hand one or a carpenter/someone good with tools to recreate one. Original design is Pinewood and costed $200aud (I don't want to stray TOO far from that, but I also understand that IKEA is factory made in bulk). I have included pics of the design in my task, but hoping for a change to the measurements. Can be a stripped back version(eg. two shelves on the bottom instead of the vertical cubbies). Basically a jazzed up clothes rack. Frame: 110cm wide X 50cm deep X close to 2m tall (the more stable the better) Let me know if this sounds like a project for you. Structural engineer to design the structural concrete footings for a sculpture to be installed outdoors. The project involves the installation of a hand-carved marble sculpture Footing & Plinth Requirements: • The sculpture will be mounted on a custom-fabricated steel aluminium plinth, which in turn must be securely bolted to the footings. • The overall footprint of the steel plinth is approximately 1200 x 800 mm, with a finished height of 500 mm. • The sculpture will be seated on top of this plinth, with a combined estimated weight of 500kgs. • The footings must ensure long-term structural stability in an outdoor environment, accommodate public safety considerations, and account for potential ground movement. • Ground preparation (soil clearing/leveling) will be undertaken by the site’s landscape contractors.
