Hi, I’m looking to have a simple coffee table base made from MDF. It just needs to be a sturdy rectangular box with an open shelf through the middle (similar to the reference image). I’ll be tiling the outside myself, so it doesn’t need any finish — just solid, clean MDF construction. Key points: • Plain MDF construction • Strong enough to support tiles on the top and sides • Open shelf through the centre • Square, simple shape Approx size I’m thinking: ~100–110 cm long ~45–50 cm deep ~40 cm high Let me know if this is something you could make and an approximate cost. Manufacture 4 cabinets (3 of Design A provided, 1 of Design B provided). These display cabinets will be used to display and sell stock at markets and shopping centres. - Basic designs provided as a starting point. There is scope for you to refine and/or alter these where necessary to fit purpose. - Approx measurements provided. To be refined by you, taking into account practical elements (such as lockable under-counter storage - not illustrated in images provided) - Cabinets are designed to be easily transported by a pallet jack. - General aesthetic visual/design/feel = Horizontal slat-walled wooden cabin. - The exterior of each cabinet will each incorporate a framed inset securable display box/window. Please factor in the window framing shown in the design, and probably a clear acrylic window (no glass). The roof and central back wall of this inset box incorporates into shelving on the interior side. - Designs show individual slats stop 300mm from top, leaving an intentionally larger piece of wood for signage. - Regarding material selection, factors to consider should take into account: overall weight considerations, suitable structural function, durability, safety, aesthetics, and construction material price. - Please include Painting / treatment suitable for maximum outdoor durability. Must be in metro Adelaide. Transportation after construction would be nice, but is not essential.

I’m commissioning the finished physical item (not a file). I am looking for a metal fabricator to create a custom-fit, removable cover for an ice well in my kitchen island. The purpose is to use the surface as a glassware drying rack. Key Specifications: Dimensions: The well is 740mm (length) and 145mm width so will need to cover that and have a few mm on all sides to cover over the edge. Ideal Material: Marine Grade Stainless Steel (must be rust-proof). Thickness: 2 mm to 3mm and must be rigid enough to support a full load of glassware without bowing. Happy to take guidance on grade and thickness. Design: Drop-in Flange: A small lip (approx. 10-15 mm on all sides so the tray sits securely on the countertop. See attached photo for the ideal design. Perforation: Round perforated drainage holes throughout the main body. Lifting Mechanism: Two oval finger holes positioned in the dead-center of the tray, spaced for a "pinch-grip" lift (thumb and forefinger) similar to the existing openings shown in the second photo, to allow easy lifting and removal of the cover. Finish: Brushed finish to match standard kitchen appliances. All edges must be deburred and polished smooth to prevent scratching the stone or glassware. Requirements: Please provide photos of previous custom stainless steel work. Quote should include materials, fabrication, and delivery (although if you are close to where I live I am happy to pick up). Must be able to provide a clean, high-end finish suitable for a modern kitchen. More specific: Style: Drop-in tray with a 15 mm lip to sit on top of the stone benchtop. Drainage: Laser-cut perforated hole pattern (staggered round holes). Lifting Handle: Two oval slots in the center separated by a solid 15mm "bridge" for a one-handed pinch grip. Finish: Brushed finish, all edges must be deburred and rounded (no sharp edges). Material: 2.5mm or 3mm thick 316 Stainless Steel for rigidity.

Our (new) rural home operates 100% on rainwater. Six water tanks (2 sizes, 15,000 litre and 20,000 litre) are filled by rainwater from the 550 sq m roof via a 100mm pipe. The filler pipe is directed to the first tank in the "tank farm" (under the house). Water flowing into the first tank is then distributed to the other 5 tanks via 40mm and 50mm pipes at the base of the tanks (one 40mm and one 50mm between each tank). The roof is approximately 7 metres above the 100mm "spout" into the tank (noting that it is a charge system, the water dropping approximately 9 metres to go under the tilt panel wall before flowing up to the height of the top of the first/entry tank. There is a 100mm overflow pipe on the first tank (and a secondary 100mm overflow on one of the other tanks). The Archimedes principle of joining the tanks and them all levelling works during light rainfall however during heavy rain (we have rain events occasionally exceeding 100mm/hour for 10-30 mins) the system cannot cope and the first tank overflows dramatically. We need an overflow system from the inlet/first tank that does not reduce the level of all tanks (which a 200mm pipe at the top of the first tank would). A diversion system attached to the inlet pipe, to divert flow once the first tank fills is expected to be the only practical solution. Questions: 1) What size overflow pipe is necessary given the above information, and 2) What type of diversion/cut off valve will work in this scenario, noting that a mechanical system would be preferred (i.e. not reliant on electrical power as the power may be out during a storm). If an electrically powered option is the best we would accept it, particularly if it had a battery support system.
