So-called Powerline/PowerLAN adapters also restrict Bonjour or do not allow it. These access points are not suitable for the use of HomeKit-based Wi-Fi devices. Apple Home Hub Settings Make sure your Apple Home hub is connected to the 2.4 GHz band of your router. iPhone/iPad Settings Make sure the iPhone/iPad is connected to the 2.4 GHz band of your router.

I had Ethernet sockets installed in three rooms,. All cables end up in our computer cupboard where they should ultimately connect to our router/internet hub. The guy who installed it apparently put the wrong plastic end points on the cables and once I brought my new switch they don’t plug in. So they need to be changed 6x All points need testing and labels. An experienced expert in setting up home networks is ideal as once you leave I need good connections from all points through the switch through to our GB fiber internet.

I had 7 cables for Ethernet sockets ran to two rooms upstairs, and one room downstairs and terminated into wall sockets. All cables end up in our computer cupboard where they should ultimately connect to our router & optical internet hub. I thought I had an expert set it up but he installed the wrong "plastic ends" on the Cat5e cables and they won't plug into the router - I think they need trimming or possibly replacing. When it was installed the place was a building site, but now 90% done, and I need it all connected and checked to make sure that the 1GB optical bandwidth is available to all points in the house. I don’t have any Ethernet parts or specialist equipment on-site so please byo.
