I have a large wooden work bench that needs about 1/3 sawing off because I'm moving to a smaller studio. It would also benefit from having some internal slide out shelves for fabric. The studio is in-between Liverpool street and moorgate underground stations and the work can be done on sight. You would need to have your own equipment. I have wood we can use for the shelves.

Window Rot Repair & Reseal – Victorian Bay Window (Islington) Our bedroom bay window has developed a mushroom/fungal growth on the frame corner (see photo!) after some glass panes were recently replaced with what I think is a dodgy seal. We get a lot of condensation and the timber has gone soft in that area. Need someone to: – Remove the fungus and cut out the rotten wood – Treat the timber and fill/repair with epoxy or new wood – Reseal the glass panes properly – Sand and repaint to match Ground floor, easy access. Hello, I’m looking for a carpenter, handyman, or someone experienced with DIY projects who could help me assemble a simple loft bed structure in my small studio flat. I will be supplying the materials myself and I already have the necessary tools available (Bosch drill, bit set, electric wood cutting saw, electric screw, etc.). I also have several MDF boards that can be used for the bed platform, under-bed base, and stairs. Due to a medical condition affecting my spine and heart, I unfortunately cannot lift heavy components or complete the build entirely on my own. However, I can actively assist with measuring, cutting, drilling, and general assembly. I mainly need help with the heavy lifting and ensuring the structure is assembled safely and securely. The project itself is fairly straightforward and suitable for someone with basic carpentry or DIY experience. It mainly involves: • assembling the loft frame (I can cut the pieces with your supervision) • securing the structure properly • installing the platform boards • building/attaching a staircase (I can do it myself with your supervision) I’m currently living on Universal Credit, so my budget is limited. I have been sleeping on my sofa since I moved in but it makes my spine pain worse. I would be very grateful if someone might be open to helping at a reduced rate or as a small side job. The job is in a studio flat, so the project size is relatively small and flexible timing can be arranged. Work required: • 1 mason’s mitre joint • 1 sink cut-out • Shorten both worktops Apply the included edging strips and lightly treat all cut edges with hard wax oil immediately after cutting to prevent damage and maintain the finish. Only tradespeople experienced with veneer-covered particleboard or similar engineered wood should apply to avoid damaging the worktops. Return worktops ready for fitting. Please quote including collection and return. I have some flexibility with day. Worktops will need fitting afterwards, so you can also provide a quote for installation if you wish.
