What does a home theatre installation include?
Your home theatre can be as simple or as sophisticated as you like. Whether it’s just a big screen and surround sound speakers or a fully automated media room setup, it’s all about creating the right atmosphere to feel like you’re actually at the movies (without leaving the comfort of your own home).
Here are some of the most common home theatre services:
Projector installation
Bigger isn’t always better when choosing your home theatre screen, as it’s important to choose the best size for the space. Most projectors are mounted on the ceiling to get them out of the way and provide that real cinema experience. You can choose to have a mobile or motorised screen that can be tucked away when it isn’t in use, or even use a blank wall in your media room. Projectors are the perfect option for large spaces and more people, but you’ll need to block out natural light for optimum viewing.
TV wall mounting
You may choose a high definition tv in your home theatre for a simpler setup or due to light and space constraints. Your tv installer will mount the tv on a wall to maximise the space available in the room, plus you won’t need cabinets or shelving. They’ll usually use existing power points but will let you know if you need additional electrical work to power all components, or an extra antenna point installed. Speaker and sound installation

A central speaker that provides most of the sound will be installed first, and then additional speakers and amplifiers are placed around the room for immersive sound. Bedroom: - Put up x 4 shelves in bedroom - brackets already attached, you’ll have to provide plugs + screws (concrete wall). - Put up 1 x IKEA shelf in bedroom (in-built brackets) - Cut down to size and install x2 blackout roller blinds. Living room: - Cut down the depth of x 4 current shelves from 335mm to 290mm, and install brackets (provided), and put up in living room. - Install shelf desk in living room. - Put TV on wall in living room (bracket provided, you may been additional screws/plugs) - Install x3 blackout roller blinds in living room bay window (should not require cutting). Kitchen: - Change light fitting in kitchen from pendant to spotlight fitting. Walls in the property are concrete so please bring appropriate tools, screws, wall plugs etc will need to be provided. Please see some images of shelving (currently up in a different flat)
