I would like a carpet fitter or someone who knows their way around carpets to come in and do a few touch ups on the carpet in a 1 bed maisonette flat that I have just moved into. The landlord won’t spend any money sorting these few problems and I refuse to pay for a whole new carpet so I’m looking for someone to come in and re stitch the edges on some of the carpet, fit 2 new metal carpet strips, fix a broken creaky floorboard underneath the carpet and cut the loose threads around the carpet edges. Remove a small piece of carpet in my entrance area (approx. 1m × 1m) and install new sheet vinyl flooring. Old carpet needs to be removed and disposed of. New vinyl will be supplied by me. Vinyl will need to be cut to fit neatly around the door frame and edge of the step. Skirting board to be added (to be supplied by me). May require trimming the door threshold or ensuring door clearance.

Moving into a flat where the carpets have been ripped up. I have scrubbed the bare floors as best as I can, and tried to remove any old residue. I do not have the means to hire a professional carpet fitter, so looking for someone to help me DIY the job.
