Timber flooring installation
The installation begins with your Tasker laying out moisture-proofing and insulation materials, which should help reduce noise and regulate the house’s temperature. Once the insulation is in place, they can start installing the new boards. The installation process will vary depending on the material of the boards. Solid timber floors require a substructure, while engineered boards can be laid directly over tiles, concrete or other wooden boards. A protective coating will be applied as a final step to seal the wood to make it resistant to wear and tear. It is recommended to have your floors serviced regularly for timber floor polish and coat to maintain their beauty and durability, prolonging their lifespan while keeping them looking new.
Timber flooring repairs and restoration
Over time, wooden floors may sustain damage from various factors such as water spills, furniture scratches and dirt. Minor damage can often be fixed by refinishing the surface with light sanding, a new coat of sealant and polishing.
