Hi, I was installing a dancing pole at home and damaged my ceiling plaster. I need an experienced handyman or plasterer to help with the pole removal and two ceiling repairs. 1. Pole removal: I installed a SereneLife tension dance pole and since noticing the plaster damage, am unable to remove the pole by myself. I might need some help loosening the pole if it’s needed for repair work to start. 2. Repair tension damage & Reinforce ceiling: The pressure from the pole has caused a minor plaster failure on the ceiling sheet. There is a ~2-inch hairline fracture line running perpendicular to the timber joist, a blown tape bubble right next to it, and a popped drywall screw. You will likely need to drive 2x new 60mm drywall screws into the joist to secure the plasterboard sheet, cut out the loose bubble/tape, V-groove the crack, mesh/paper tape it, flush it with joint compound, sand it smooth, and paint it to match (I can provide ceiling white paint). 3. Repair an Old Water Leak Area (Separate Location, Same Room): In a different part of the same ceiling, there is a ~1m long area and a few minor spots around it (including around a light fixture) with historical water damage (the roof leak has been fixed a year ago and it is 100% dry and had a sparky inspect its safety to repair). You will need to scrape back the flaking/peeling paint finish, apply a stain blocking primer sealer, and patch/skim coat any deep divots, sand, and paint to match. Requirements: 1. Must bring your own tools, ladders, drywall screws, joint compound/tape, and stain-blocking primer. Experience in plastering/gyprock patching is essential. Reposting as I didn’t realise it expired…Looking for Mark. I have an old gas wall heater that I would like removed and disposed of. Once the heater is removed, there will be a large opening left in the wall that will need to be repaired/plastered so the wall is ready for painting (painting not required). Proven professional gyprocker/plasterer to: 1. Gyprock sheet both sides of a sliding door cavity that has been removed and replaced with studs/noggins ready for sheeting. 2. A non-load bearing wall has been removed (4.5m wide *2.7m high) and gyprock sheet required to lhs and rhs and ceiling where wall removed, including adding cornice to both ceiling sides. 3. Replace gyprock sheets to several ceiling holes that were cut out as inspection ports prior to the wall being removed. Gyprock to be left to a very high standard ready for me to paint. Ignore the far wall in the photo with the insulation batts. That won’t be gyprocked as part of this work. Job can be done in 2 parts: Part 1 to be done ASAP sheet old sliding door cavity and lhs of wall where wall removed. To make way for cabinetry install along that wall. Part 2 : remainder of work over next 4 weeks.

I am looking for someone to help repair a small plaster chip on a wall corner, which is roughly the size of a 20-cent piece. As the metal corner bead is slightly exposed, the repair will require appropriate filling and sanding to ensure a smooth, durable finish that sits flush with the wall. Please let me know your availability to take this on, and clarify if you will be bringing your own materials and tools or if there is anything specific you need me to provide. I would also appreciate it if you could confirm your experience with patching and whether you are able to assist with matching the paint finish to the existing wall. Trying to hang a sensory hammock for the kids that needs to be fixed into a joist with 2 bolts. Looking for you to also chuck some spackfiller or w/e in the holes I've drilled. I’ve used a stud finder to find what I thought were the ceiling joists, but driving a nail/drill bit through hits air. The roof has a bedroom above it if that provides any useful info.
