Hi, We are seeking a quotation for inspection and rectification of an electronic access-controlled door at an office suite. The door is the only means of entry and exit for the office, with no alternative emergency exit available. Recently, the access control backup battery failed and the power lead to the control unit became disconnected. As a result, the exit button and PIN pad lost power while the magnetic lock remained engaged, preventing the door from being opened from either side. The backup battery has since been replaced and the door is currently operating. However, the existing system does not have a low-battery alarm, audible warning or manual emergency release to immediately disengage the magnetic lock during a power failure or system malfunction. We require a qualified security, access control or fire systems contractor to provide a quotation for the following: Inspect the complete electronic door access system. Confirm whether the current installation complies with applicable emergency egress and life-safety requirements. Check the operation and fail-safe configuration of the magnetic lock. Supply and install a break-glass emergency release or other compliant manual release device, if required. Supply and install a low-battery alarm or monitoring system. Test and commission the complete system after rectification. Provide a written report confirming the findings, recommended works and compliance status. Advise the expected timeframe for completion.

DO NOT USE this person. He came to the job next day and opened the lock which was working from outside but JAmmed from inside. He didn’t inform me that he will leave the door lock free and just left the site and told me that he will charge 1500 to replace another lock or he will just put the lock back. He just put it back and made the lock free so door was left open and left the house. HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE.

Doorknob on one side isn’t catching the latch internally and just turns endlessly - therefore meaning the door locks from one side as you can’t engage the latch to open it.

Sliding Glass Door Lock Strike Plate Repair The strike plate on our sliding glass door has become loose. It looks like one of the mounting screws may have fallen out, although I'm not certain if that's the only issue. Looking for someone to: Inspect the strike plate and determine the cause of the movement. Re-secure it and replace any missing fixings if required. Check that the sliding door latches and locks securely again. If additional parts or repairs are required after inspection, please let me know before proceeding. Photo attached.
