Repair the door lock. The door cannot be opened from the outside, but it opens normally from the inside. The exterior door handle appears to be malfunctioning. The front door was locked and the outside handle could not normally be pressed down. I accidentally forced the handle down and it appears the internal mechanism has broken. The door now opens normally from the inside, but cannot be opened from the outside.
Michael was extremely patient, professional and knowledgeable. He quickly identified the issue and explained exactly what had broken. The repair was completed perfectly and the door handle now works like new. Great communication, arrived on time and solved the problem efficiently. Highly recommended. Since I’ve moved into this older house (Heidelberg) , I’ve had trouble closing and locking the front door. ( door does not close all the way therefore unable to lock causing a major security issue and anxiety for myself.) I’ve tried scraping away with a chisel at the top part of door and nothing has worked. I need someone who is an expert or a trades person who knows what they are doing.
