What’s included with your lawn mowing service?

A standard lawn mowing service involves cutting the grass to between 5-10 cms (2”- 4”), normally using a petrol lawnmower. Lawn mowing contractors will usually bring their own equipment, plus bags to take the rubbish away. If you have a large garden or acreage, a ride on mower might be required, so make sure you specify the size of the area in your post.

But it doesn’t have to end there. Many lawn mowing service providers offer other inclusions along with the mowing, like...

Edging and whipper snipping

Lawn mowing professionals will have a whipper snipper (and other tools) to give your lawn sharp edges and stop your grass from growing onto the footpath or curbs. They’ll also clean around garden beds, trees, and features for a clean, professional finish.

Rubbish removal

Your gardener may use a leaf blower or broom to remove cut grass from the pathways and edges to leave a clear surface. They’ll also take away any lawn clippings, twigs, and any debris that was on the grass before cutting. If you prefer, you can ask that they leave the grass clippings for you to use as mulch or compost.

Lawn mowing does not usually include removing hard rubbish and waste from your grass. If you want your gardener to clear the area before cutting, make sure you specify this so they can include it in their quote.

Fertilising

Keeping your lawns lush and green requires regular feeding and should be part of your garden maintenance. Knowing which fertilisers to apply and when can make the difference between golf-club enviable green and corn flakes crunchy lawns. Strong, healthy lawns need less watering and are more weed resistant.

Weed killing

Keeping weeds out of your lawns will make them a more welcoming place to play, rest, and relax without worrying about prickles and spikes. Regular trimming, manual weed removal, and organic or chemical weed kill will keep your lawns looking a lot healthier, too. You might also add on weeding for your garden beds so your whole garden can look tidy.

Leaf blowing

Leaves on your grass and driveway not only look messy but can create a hazard if they get wet and slippery. Your gardener can provide leaf blowing services and a garden tidy up, including removing the dry leaves.

Aerating

Soil can get compacted over time, so regular aerating is a good idea if you want to keep it healthy. To aerating your lawn, your gardener will use a machine to make small holes in the ground at regular intervals. Mowing front and back of house. Grass at back is quite long. Trimming hedges on both sides at front left side of the house Weeding both sides of the house. One side the weeds are very high and cover most of the side of the house. Possibly looking at weed spraying but am happy with just removing them. We have a lawn mower but I definitely don't think it would hack this kind of job. Would need to supply your own. Would also need to supply own grass and hedge trimmers. We have pruning shears you are welcome to use. Would suggest long pants, enclosed shoes, sturdy garden gloves particularly for the weeds. This may need more than one person.

Brent did an exceptional job mowing and weeding our garden. I don't think it's ever looked this near and clean! He also removed all of the green waste himself and did a weed spray as well. My husband and I were in awe, would definitely recommend Brent and use his gardening services again.
