We are seeking a highly disciplined and reliable Wardrobe Maintenance Assistant (COSTUME WASHING & DRYING) for the Brisbane season of Footloose the Musical at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre (BICC). You will be responsible for the nightly collection, cleaning, and morning delivery of costumes for a cast of 20 performers. Reliability and punctuality are non-negotiable. This role is perfect for someone who is organized, has a large vehicle, and is comfortable with late-night/early-morning turnarounds. Key Responsibilities Pick-up: Collect several large bags of costumes from the BICC at strict scheduled finish times (late nights). Laundering: Take items to a local commercial laundromat. Sort, wash, and dry multiple loads (approx. 4 hours of labor). Maintenance: Some hand-scrubbing required for tough stains on collars and shirts. Drop-off: Return all clean, dry costumes to the venue by the strict morning "Call Time." Transport: Use your own large vehicle to transport several bulky laundry bags. Requirements Must be extremely punctual. Theatre schedules are rigid; delays are not permitted. Large Vehicle: You must have a car/SUV/Van large enough to fit multiple oversized laundry bags. Communication: Must be reachable via phone for coordination. Experience: Wardrobe maintenance or professional laundry experience is a plus, but not essential. An interest in musical theatre is a bonus! Compensation & Logistics Petty Cash: Provided by the production for all washer/dryer machine costs. Your Quote: Please provide a total flat fee for the 2-week period. Your quote must include: Labour for washing/drying/sorting (approx. 4 hours per shift). I have 2 regular laundry baskets full of womens clothing that needs ironing at my house in Hawthorne today. I do have this done regularly and it takes most people 3 hours to complete and some 3.5 hours. I have all the tools required to complete this task. It's important that you have eye for detail Remove ALL wrinkles from fabric Do not burn or make any item shiny Have ironed in the past (not professionally) but in large amounts so you keep moving at a steady pase and do not begin to tire and slow. I would like this finished in 3 hours ideally but if it takes you a little longer that's okay however all items must be completed prior to leaving. Thank you

I usually have this done every few weeks, so there may be ongoing work for the right person. I am based in Bardon and can either drop them off or arrange pick-up.

Looking for someone to come and collect laundry, wash and dry once a week and return the next day. Laundry will range from 12kg to 16kg including the weight of the basket (60litre) this basket is usually slightly heaped. If we ever need more than this, we're happy to discuss higher payment. We ask that it's a cold wash and the dryer is on the coolest setting, and we note that our towels are not able to be dried in a dryer and must be air dried, however if they are still slightly damp upon return this is fine. First payment will be through airtasker, after this we're happy to pay through transfer or payid on the day of return each week. We can be flexible with your schedule if you need to change days, we just ask you let us know.
