I’m after someone to teach me how to sew, I have a basic sewing machine and supplies. I just want to learn the basics, machine set up and operation, hand sewing, different techniques ect I am flexible but do prefer nights.

Most of the alterations are fairly straightforward, for example: - shortening dresses, trousers or tops - changing long sleeves to short sleeves - shortening jeans while keeping the original hem - other simple adjustments as needed I’m hoping to find someone who enjoys sewing, perhaps sews from home or does alterations privately, and offers reasonable rates compared with commercial alteration shops. Good attention to detail and a neat finish are important to me, and if things work well there would likely be more items from time to time. I’m happy to bring the clothes to you if you’re reasonably close to Lutwyche. I have an old scout blanket, I would like to replace the old blanket. I have purchased the new blanket, I would like the old badges sewn onto the new blanket. There are around 60 -80 badges. All shapes and sizes. This has enormous sentimental value for me. I am away for work during the week... So it can either be picked up during the week or I could drop it off on the weekend.. Custom Sewing Needed for Motorhome Oval Window Covers Hi there! I’m looking for someone to help sew a set of custom window covers for the small oval windows in my motorhome. I’ve got all the dimensions and I’ll provide the fabric and internal insulation material which is already made to size. What I’m looking for: • A foldable cover with a 20 mm perimeter for push-button fasteners (or similar). • The edge with integrated fasteners need to be a little oversize vs the window size so that the window latch can has room. • I’ll give you the internal pieces and show you how they fit in the van windows. The sewing machine is two years old. It is a small, basic Singer brand. No problems till it started skipping stitches - will do a couple of stitches correctly then skip the rest. I changed the needle but it did not help. Would be good to have it serviced while skipping stitches issue is resolved. The job is in Toowong.
