Garden edging/retaining wall

Flynn ACT, Australia

1st Jan 2019

We are building a 1-2 sleeper high retaining wall in our front garden. We are looking for an extra pair of hands to help us build it on Saturday 12th January.

Dan’s help and knowledge was invaluable. It was a hard days work and he just kept going until the end. It was great to have someone to bounce ideas off and guide us with how to get the job done.

Loosen subsoil to plant hedge

Flynn, Australian Capital Territory, Australia

21st Oct 2020

I am replanting a front garden hedge because the old one did not grow. In order to prepare the ground I need to loosen the compacted sub strata to a depth of about 30 cms. The bed is about 5.0 m long and 0.4 m wide. I've soaked the trench to soften. I was thinking that a Jack-hammer would make short work of it, or else I can supply a crow-bar. What is required is to loosen the base of the trench to enable penetration of water and roots. See the photo for what the job looks like. Would like by Saturday this week if possible.

Guys did a quick job, no mucking around.
