Hi, I'm in need of a quotation for building a retaining wall and installing an automated gate at the front of my property. The retaining wall is approximately 39 meters in length and should be 1.5 meters in height. And, there is a fence (>6.5 feet transparent) to be built on top of the retaining wall. The work should commence in May, depanding pending permit approval. I am open to discussing this project with contractors who have prior experience in similar jobs and can provide references for their previously completed projects. I would first like a chat with somebody about how the garden could be designed (we have a few existing features I have half completed, so would integrate them and help me improve on and finish off those - let's face it, I did an average job at best). So somebody with a great vision, as well as skills would be great. Basically would start with a bit of a chat about what could be done. Then once we've got those sorted, we can negotiate on a price. Initial chat $75 for an hour or so of your time to come and discuss in the yard and then to create a loose map/plan for me, and some thought into a quote for what you could help with. The actual works would need to be at a competitive rate, while I'm happy to put up $75 for the initial consult. A reference would be great, including if you've done any design/plan/map before Then works could include: - a loose map/plan of the work - colour schemes? - bringing in topsoil (i may be able to get this and/or help) - ripping up existing grass and gardens ( i could potentially do all this) - sewing grass seed (or potentially installation of grass) - finishing off the raised garden bed - work out a quick in ground irrigation system for any plants (i can dig most of it in) - Anything else that doesn't need permits that might snazzy up the yard with a focus on lower maintenance preferred (not too generic looking though) - any ideas about installations (panels, art, including for our corrugated iron wall of the alfresco area (can see a little bit in photo 2) I will be available to assist you with all things, and I also have a range of general tools available. Need to build a garden bed, with a curved retaining wall. The length of the retaining wall will be 26m and if like to use concrete blocks with a 3 block height which is around 600mm. Need to fill this will top soil as well. If you refer to the picture, the retaining wall will be about a metre from the fence.
