Hi, I’m looking for a quote to complete some landscaping work for our front garden bed next to our driveway. Job Details & Scope: • Area Size: Approximately 9.2m x 4.3m (around 40m2). • Excavation: Dig out existing dirt/weeds to a uniform depth of 70mm and remove/dispose of all excess soil. • Base Layer: Supply, lay, and compact a 20mm layer of cracker dust base. • Weed Barrier: Supply and lay heavy-duty woven landscape fabric, secured with landscape staples. • Decorative Surface: Supply and spread a 50mm layer of 20-40mm black basalt pebbles (stocked at Bibra Lake Soils) across the main bed. • Tree Protection Ring: Install an edging border around the central council tree to create a 0.5m radius (1.0m diameter) circle, filled with pine bark mulch to keep stones away from the trunk. Please see Photo 1 showing the current area and Photo 2 showing the desired finished look. Could you please provide quote including materials, site preparation, soil removal/disposal, and labour?

We need approximately 22 m³ of infill sand relocated from within the property to the external driveway/drop-off area. The sand is spread over roughly 150 m². We also have approximately 6.5 m³ of lawn mix soil currently sitting on the driveway, which needs to be moved into the garden area after the excess sand has been removed. I expect the overall job would be around 3–4 hours of work for an experienced operator, depending on access and final levelling. We will temporarily remove a 1.6 m section of the Colorbond fence to provide access. Due to the limited width, it will need to be a mini Bobcat/Posi-Track that can fit through the opening. I’ve attached images showing the garden area where the sand needs to be removed, the fence panel that will be removed for access, and the lawn mix currently sitting on the driveway. Remove fountain structure, remove tree stump/roots and relay pavers impacted by roots and lay additional pavers over removed tree stump/fountain. Also relay a few pavers that have sunken. I have three large rectangular planters that currently have soil and one plant in each of them. I need them moved so the soil will need to be taken out, the planters moved into their new spot and then the soil and plants replaced back into the planters. I need 2 people to help move some gravel. Hourly rate. Not sure of the exact amount to be removed, could take a few hours. Easy work, just a lot of trips back and forth with relatively small amounts each time.
