I have a new internal door that needs to be cut to size and hung. The door will need trimming to fit the existing frame, hinges installed (or transferred from old door), and door hung so it opens and closes properly. Also need hole drilled for handle. Looking for someone experienced with carpentry or door installation. Please bring necessary tools.

My house uses cheap internal door handles that keep coming loose, probably need some thread locker applied and tightened. In addition the bathroom locks don't work, I suspect because they are not aligned.

Internal wooden door is tight in metal frame on the door lock side. It's tight to close. Need to chisel out hinge recess in door so hinges sit deeper. May need to plane a bit off the door on hinge side. 4 screws on each hinge x 2 to remove door.

As the height is above standard, I am open to installing gyprock above the door to accommodate a standard door size if required. I am needing a Hume door installed. The current door measures in at roughly 818mm wide and 2018mm high. The Bunnings door is 2040x820 so the door will need to be cut down but can use the old door as a template.

Pick up new door from Bunnings (click and collect, will be paid for). Bring it to house. Remove current door and install new one.
