General maintenance services cover a broad range of tasks. You might engage your handyman to work on a specific job or tick off a long list of maintenance tasks around your home, yard, or workplace.
Here are some of the most common general maintenance tasks and what you can expect:
Your maintenance worker can help do minor repairs and deep cleaning jobs around your home. This includes replacing filters and other small parts that wear out over time, repairing tiles, patching up holes, filling cracks, touching up paint, unclogging drains, washing windows, pressure washing walls, cleaning vents, and so much more. Your general maintenance expert will bring their equipment or use what’s available at your home, working through tasks in order of priority.
Commercial building maintenance
Site maintenance workers are often employed temporarily or on an ongoing basis to keep commercial buildings in good repair. Their duties and responsibilities can include maintaining car parking areas, cleaning roofing and gutters, retouching paint, cleaning internal glass walls and doors, and keeping the garden area neat and tidy.
Outdoor and garden maintenance
Most maintenance jobs include a mixture of landscaping, gardening, and handyman work around the yard. If you have a deck or patio, your maintenance technician can re-seal it, along with other wooden fixtures like fences and railings. They can clear pathways, mulch garden beds, remove weeds, and compost garden waste. They’ll even wash bins using water, soap, and a scrubbing brush.
Car and bike maintenance
While it’s not a typical maintenance worker duty, many are skilled in maintaining specific equipment. This includes cars, bikes, and even mowers. Unless they’re a qualified mechanic, maintenance tasks will generally be limited to cleaning, pumping tires, bike hanging, plus changing the oil and other minor parts.

This job requires three experienced workers in painting (6 months and more experience). Also, I will provide the paint and brushes. Moreover, this job will require 2 full days of work. Other jobs inside and outside the house will be required such as installing ceiling fans, blinds and disassembling a TV within the house. Outside jobs consist of minimal landscaping around the side of my property and trimming/weeding plants and trees in my backyard. I have few tools so you will be required to bring your own. Lastly, I will get you to take a grass, plants and trees to the designated place. Cheers Simon.

I have a motor boat on a morning in Wanda beach and I need someone that has experience it boat maintenance to replace a broken bulge pump for me. I live in Brisbane and so you will need a small boat to get out to my boat that is on a Mooring. The price offered will require you to buy a new pump (750 GPA rule-mate is at BCF for $129) with built in float switch. You may not be able to buy one the same as the photo but BCF has the pump in the description. You must have a portable soldering devise to solder the wires together and other hand tools that you may need. Experience with wiring these up is a must Please make sure the pumps work before you leave the boat If you have a boat and the tools this job should not take more than an hour to do. You will see on the boat that I temporarily moved a working pump from the staboard side bulge and it should be put back in that area when you put the new pump in the main bulge under the motors. Both pumps should then work on the auto function.
