We need our rotted front gate post replaced with a solid, long‑lasting new one and have the gate working smoothly again. Looking for someone who knows their way around timber posts, concrete footings and gate alignment. About the job The existing timber post on a residential front gate has rotted at the base and needs to be completely replaced. The goal is for the new post to look neat, feel solid and allow the gate to open and close cleanly on the existing hardware. You’ll supply a new treated timber gate post of similar size (4"x6" x approx 2.4m) and appearance to the existing one, suitable for being set in concrete and exposed to the weather. You’ll remove the old post and concrete footing, install a new footing and set the new post plumb and in line with the gate and latch. The existing hinges, fence connection, sensor and cabling will be moved across to the new post and reinstalled so everything works as before. The new post should be painted to match the gate as closely as reasonable, using exterior-grade products you supply. Site and support Easy access at a suburban front gate. Water and power are available on site. You’ll bring your own tools, equipment and materials and leave the area tidy, taking away the old post and any waste. The gate itself has come off its hinges and needs to be reattached. The hardware is all there but we may need some new longer screws. This could mean some fiddling so the hinge screws have fresh timber to be set into but shouldn’t be too challenging for someone who knows what they are doing

Repair gate latch on outdoor gate

We need our pool gate hinge and lock fixed or replaced. The pin has come out of the hinge so it doesn’t automatically close. The lock needs a new screw

Should fit in half a ute tray. • Repair or adjust flyscreen door. • Sliding glass door is hard to close (requires two hands) — likely needs adjustment or roller repair. 2. At our home in Dee Why: • Supply and install a temporary gate spanning 4.5m–6.5m wide, approx. 3–5ft high. • Gate doesn’t need to be permanent (we’re rebuilding in 12 months), so a second-hand or budget-friendly option from Bunnings/Amazon is ideal. • Repair flyscreen door here as well. Please bring tools/materials or let us know what’s needed. Flexible on timing.

Build and install two small sections of 1.8m lap and cap timber fencing and a steel framed side gate with quality hardware. The first section is 7.4M and The second section is 2.65M including the gate. We require you to make or supply a steel framed / timber clad side gate. Please note the ground is sloping so we want to keep the top of the fence the same level and shorten the palings at the bottom as the ground goes up toward the street. Hi there, We have just rendered and painted our external wall and had to remove our garden gate in the process. We have restored the gate and now want to reinstall. The brackets are very old so we may need to buy new hardware and a lockable latch. We are away and have Airbnb guests coming Sunday. We would love for you to go and look at the gate to see what hardware is needed, then go to Bunnings to purchase, the come back to install. We will of course pay for the required hardware. Would love for you to install tomorrow :-)

I have 3 gates that have been removed at my rental property that I have just moved in to. One is a steel gate and the other two are glass gates. The gates are in perfect condition and as far as I can tell must have been removed because of issues with the hinges. I assume the gates, just need new hinges and bolts/catches fitting and rehanging. This isn't a big job but I am looking for a handyman/ maintenance man and I am currently compiling a list of several other jobs that need doing which I would be happy to consider you for if you do a good job with this at a reasonable price. I estimate it could be up to a full days work for somebody for the other work.
