The lawn has recently been replaced after deteriorating during a previous rental period. The previous tenant had someone mowing regularly, but I’m looking for someone with a better understanding of lawn health and ongoing care, not just mowing. I’d like someone who can carry out additional maintenance as needed, such as fertilising, top-dressing/topsoil, edging, watering guidance, weed control and monitoring the condition of the lawn, so it stays healthy and presents well for guests. Looking for an experienced gardener to tidy up a medium sized backyard and side garden in Glen Iris. Budget shown is a placeholder, open to all quotes. The work is: 1. Trim the large hedges along the fence line flat on top and straighten the sides (one section is 3m plus with some dead growth poking out the top). 2. Shape and tidy the jasmine along the back fence, and refasten any runners that have come loose from the trellis and fence fixings. 3. Trim and straighten the jasmine growing on the brick wall beside the deck. Some of this is at height, so a ladder or platform is needed. 4. Weed and clear the flower beds (leaf litter, grass runners and weeds, including the beds beside the steps and along the side path). 5. Plant new plants in the cleared beds. The job: * Remove all plants, weeds, groundcover, grasses, shrubs and other vegetation growing in the garden beds * This is a complete garden clean-out, not just trimming or weeding * Plants should be dug/pulled out at the roots where reasonably possible, rather than simply cut back * Leave the existing trees in place and take care not to damage their trunks or major roots * Remove the existing garden vegetation and green waste from the property * Rake/prepare the garden beds so they are reasonably clear and level * Spread mulch over the entire cleared garden bed area, to a good even depth Important: I want the garden beds essentially cleared back to bare soil, with the exception of the existing trees. I do not want the existing shrubs, groundcovers, grasses, succulents etc. retained. I’m happy for the Tasker to source and deliver the mulch if they can get a good price, or I can arrange the mulch myself once the required quantity/type is known. Budget: $700 for labour, excluding mulch. Please include in your offer: * Your availability * Whether green waste removal/disposal is included * Whether you can source and deliver mulch * Whether you have the tools/equipment required for digging out the established plants Type of gardening: Garden cleanup Size of garden: Under 50m² Has green waste bin: Yes
