Backyard tropical/fern garden needs a solid tidy-up. I'll handle all the green waste removal myself — just stack everything in a pile where I show you on the day. No tip runs, no trailer needed. What I need done: Strip all the dead brown fronds and hanging skirts off the giant bird of paradise and banana clumps. This is the big one — there's a lot of dead material hanging in the middle of the bed. Some of it is above head height so you'll need a ladder or pole saw. Cut back the dead and browning fronds on the tree ferns and the lower fern clumps. Cut the fishbone ferns back off the lawn where they've crept out over the grass. Re-cut a clean, defined edge along the whole garden bed where it meets the lawn. Rake out the leaf litter and old dead fronds sitting under the plants in the beds. Tidy up the small deck area near the potting bench — a few dead plants in pots to pull out and stack. General weed pull through the bed edges. You'll need to bring: loppers, secateurs, a pruning saw or pole saw, a rake, and an edger or sharp spade. Ladder if you have one. the verandah roof has a lot of leaves on it that i also wanted removed. photos attached Access is straightforward through the side. Please only bid if you're comfortable with tropical pruning — I want the plants cut back properly at the base of the frond, not hacked.
