I would like to repair my carpet which has water damage from a fixed leak on an exterior wall. The staining is minor and mainly on the perimeter. The timber on the perimeter with water damage had to be removed as it was rotten. The area is hidden by a curtain so the repair does not have to be as seamless as if in an open area. Carpet can be taken from wardrobe for colour matching but needs to be replaced. See photos. Newly installed carpet was not cut for the wardrobe door track. Now it’s cut, tack strips need installing to keep the carpet stretched. The strips are for concrete floors which I have. The wardrobe doors and tracks will be removed prior to your arrival so you just need to secure the tack strips to the concrete and pull the carpet onto them. Need someone with carpet installation experience who knows what they’re doing. Cheers!
