The situation: We had flooding a while back (burst pipe while on holiday) and the carpet was ruined. I'm in the process of finding some off-cut carpet on Marketplace to replace the old carpet which we had to dispose of. Some details: - The floor is a concrete slab - The dimensions are roughly 3 x 4m - The carpet needs to be cut so as to fit the dimensions of the closet (all in once piece ideally) - I'd be keen to learn how to do lay the carpet and help out (but I'm a bit of a slouch when it comes to practical tasks), so a warm, teacherly manner would be great!! - I might need to find some underlay as well, and have been told that old wool rugs are an option. I'd love any insider advice on what I should get as underlay. Happy to pay around $40ph and it should only take 4 - 5 hours to finish up.
