Looking for 2 reliable, experienced event/hospitality helpers for our wedding reception in Tooradin on Saturday 27 February 2027. Approximately 180 guests. We are having a buffet dinner and need two people to help keep the food service and venue running smoothly. Approx. 4:00pm–11:00pm (final hours to be confirmed). Duties include: * Setting up the buffet and bain-maries * Organising plates, cutlery and serving utensils * Monitoring buffet food throughout dinner * Replacing/refilling food trays from the kitchen when dishes are running low * Clearing used dinner plates from tables * Keeping the buffet and dining area tidy * Bringing out dessert platters * Collecting used plates into designated tubs/buckets * Basic cleaning and rubbish removal throughout the evening * End-of-night cleanup of buffet/service areas * General event assistance as required No bartending or alcohol service required. No formal table service. We will have separate people handling the wedding setup/decorations and catering, so your main role is keeping the food service, plates and cleanup running smoothly during the reception. Looking for people who are reliable, proactive, comfortable working independently and preferably have wedding/event/hospitality experience. I’m looking for someone to help with kitchen clean-up and tidying at a relaxed 40th birthday dinner at my home. Hours are 6pm–9pm (3 hours). Main tasks include clearing dishes after dinner, loading/unloading the dishwasher, hand washing where needed, wiping kitchen benches, and keeping the kitchen tidy throughout the evening. Most items will be disposable. This is not a cooking role — all food will already be prepared (spit roast meats and salads). I may also need occasional help keeping drinks topped up for guests (soft drinks, champagne/beer) if needed. The aim is simply to take pressure off me as the host so I can enjoy the night with guests. Must be comfortable working in a busy social home environment. Previous hospitality or event experience is preferred but not essential.
