We’re looking for someone to remove approximately 10cm of topsoil from our front garden and prepare the area for landscaping. The garden is approximately 12m × 7m, with the areas to be excavated marked in yellow. The excavation does not need to be perfectly precise, as the garden shape will be refined later. We strongly prefer manual excavation, particularly around the two established olive trees. A small machine may be suitable for limited open areas away from the trees, if appropriate. Protecting the olive trees and their roots is the highest priority. Please do not dig underneath or close to major roots. If a substantial root is encountered, work around it rather than cutting or damaging it. Couch grass roots can be removed, but please distinguish these from olive roots. If unsure, leave the root and check. Existing perimeter garden beds do not need to be excavated. Please loosen the existing soil with a shovel so new soil can later be incorporated, taking care around existing irrigation. We would ideally like to reuse some excavated soil, with excess soil removed separately. Please confirm your availability so we can organise a skip. Ideally available this Thursday or Friday. The downstairs is an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area approximately 8.8m × 4.8m (floor plan and photos attached). The gaps are generally quite small but I’d like them sealed primarily for draught proofing/air sealing as the timber floors are cold. Job includes: * Clean/prep the gaps where required * Apply a neat, continuous bead of flexible sealant suitable for the junction between painted timber skirting and timber flooring * Seal around the accessible perimeter of the downstairs timber-floored area * Tool/finish the sealant neatly with minimal visible bead * Supply sealant and required materials * Clean up afterwards I’m looking for a clean, professional finish. I need someone to finish my recently built deck which needs a step up built and some final touch ups. The job would include: *doing cuts of final two boards and putting then on the side of the deck next to fence (see first picture) *building a step up to walk onto the deck, which will be three boards in depth (see second picture) *sanding the whole deck around where the screws are (roughly 900 screws, see third picture) I will have all materials (etc., spotted gum boards and treated pine for joists etc for step, all screws etc)and would be roughly half a days work in which you would just need to bring your own tools. Refinishing of timber floors (downstairs) in a Reservoir townhouse. Approx 40m2. Refer floorplan I've highlighted in blue the extent. There are some gaps between boards that need to be filled in a few areas. Sand and refinish floors to new condition. Use hardy sealer / polyurethane coat. House has been recently painted and new carpets etc so dust suppression must be used.
