Smoke alarm battery replacement

We have a smoke alarm that has started beeping every 30 seconds. Normally easy to fix with a new battery, however the body corporate in its wisdom has placed it in a position that would be challenging even for spiderman!! I do not know if it is a battery alarm or connected to the mains, but I suspect it is a long term battery. I need someone that knows smoke alarms with a long ladder that can be safely placed for the job. I do not know what battery it takes. Photos are attached. We would like to get this done ASAP.
