Electrician needed – Modify meter board for smart meter installation (3-phase, solar) Description:I need a licensed electrician to modify my existing meter box to allow installation of a new smart meter. Property has 3-phase power Currently has 3 older analogue meters (to be replaced with 1 smart meter) I have solar installed Energy provider attempted installation but couldn’t proceed due to insufficient space in the meter box They advised I need to adjust / reconfigure the board to fit a larger smart meter What I need done: Assess current meter board (photo attached, cardboard shows the size of the new smart meter) Modify / reconfigure layout to create space for smart meter Install suitable meter panel/backboard if required Ensure everything is compliant and ready for meter installer to return Important: I am looking for the minimum required work (not a full switchboard upgrade unless absolutely necessary) Please advise if a full upgrade is required and why Must have: Licensed electrician Experience with meter board upgrades / smart meter prep Familiar with 3-phase setups and solar
