The task is to fix the lights by replacing the transformer, or replacing/repairing any other parts if the transformer is not the cause of the issue. For example, this may involve changing to LED compatible transformers or replacing the existing halogen transformers. Please note that I don’t want to change them to plug-in LED downlight kit, as the look and brightness will be different from the existing lights. The Issue: One of the recessed LED downlights on our main sales floor has blown, creating a dim spot in the store and affecting the overall presentation. The ceiling height is approximately 3.5 meters. The Job: The task is to replace the faulty LED downlight. The scope of work includes: 1. Safely accessing the light fitting in the high ceiling (a suitable ladder is required). 2. Diagnosing the fault (e.g., failed LED unit or a faulty driver). 3. Supplying and installing a new, suitable like for like replacement LED downlight and/or driver. 4. Ensuring the new light's colour temperature and brightness matches the other existing lights. 5. Testing the new light to confirm it is fully operational.
