I'm looking for an experienced decking contractor/carpenter to supply and install approximately 20 m² of quality composite decking at my new home in Southern River. The exact final area can be confirmed during a site inspection. Rear Alfresco / Outdoor Area - Approximately 16–20 m² - Currently bare/unfinished ground — no existing paving - Main decking area is relatively level - A change in finished level is required toward the garage, including a properly constructed step/level transition - Deck to be neatly finished around the perimeter - I am also open to discussing a limestone-block perimeter around the rear deck as an alternative design. This is optional and can be priced separately if suitable. Front Porch - Smaller, separate decking area - Deck to finish approximately level with the front entry door - Deck extends toward and around the front of the house, including a recess around the planter - Deck terminates at the driveway with a properly framed/finished edge and a step/drop down to driveway level - No decking is required beyond the driveway Construction I am looking for a proper, durable low-level deck construction, including: - Appropriate concrete footings/supports - H4 treated pine structural subframe - Galvanised stirrups/brackets and suitable galvanised fixings - Composite decking boards with an appropriate concealed/approved fixing system - Properly constructed steps and level transitions - Neat fascia and edge finishing Decking Material I'm open to good-quality composite decking such as Ekodeck, ModWood, NewTechWood, Trex or an equivalent product. Please specify the exact product/range, colour and product warranty in your quote. If the colour selected affects the price, please indicate this separately. I'm interested in a good-quality, durable result rather than simply choosing the cheapest product. Site Conditions The property is a new build. Pest-control reticulation will be completed before the decking construction starts, so the decking contractor will be working after this installation is complete. The property is accessible for inspection, and I'd prefer the area to be properly measured and assessed before the final price is agreed. Looking for someone experienced in timber deck maintenance to clean, prepare and re-oil our outdoor timber decking in South Perth. The decking surrounds a swimming pool and extends around a spa and outdoor entertaining area. The pool is approximately 9 metres long. I estimate there is around 50 m² of actual timber decking, but this is only an estimate. The attached photos show the areas involved. Job includes: Thoroughly clean and prepare all timber decking Appropriate pressure cleaning where suitable, without damaging the timber Light sanding/preparation of any areas that require it Allow the timber to dry appropriately after cleaning Apply two coats of good-quality decking oil Take appropriate care around the swimming pool, spa, glass, walls and pool coping Leave the area clean and tidy on completion Please advise whether your offer includes supply of the decking oil or is for labour only.
