What does a shower cleaning service include?
Your cleaner’s goal will be to make your shower spotless. That means any mould, limescale, and grime will be removed, instead of just bleaching to cover it up, so they don’t come back as quickly. Most of the time, a shower clean will include:
Step 1: Prep
Your shower cleaner will bring all the products and equipment they need, including a steam cleaner, if needed. They’ll remove any soaps, shampoos, and kiddie bath toys from your shower before they get started. Your cleaner will also deck themselves out in protective equipment, like a face mask and gloves.
Step 2: Shower walls and floor cleaning
The shower walls and floor is where you often see the most grime and mould build up, especially between grout and edging. Your shower cleaner will assess the amount of build up and choose removal methods that suit the materials your shower stall is made of. This way, no surfaces will get damaged or discoloured. Your cleaner may also use a steam cleaner to finish off the job.
Step 3: Drain cleaning
Your shower cleaning pro will use specialised products to clean your drain, whether a natural vinegar-and-bicarb mix or a commercial product. If your drain is clogged, they'll remove the cover and use a plunger to fix the problem. They may need to leave a drain cleaner sitting inside your drain for a certain amount of time. That’s why it’s common for your cleaner to start your shower clean with drain cleaning, as the product will get flushed through during the cleaning process.
Step 4: Shower head cleaning
Your shower cleaner will assess whether your shower head is spraying correctly. If not, they’ll give your shower head a deep clean by immersing it in a cleaning solution (such as white vinegar and water). After soaking it for 15-20 minutes, they’ll make sure it’s now spraying evenly. Finally, they’ll clean and polish your fixtures, carefully scrubbing away any grime build up.
Step 5: Shower screen cleaning
Cleaning shower screens is typically the last step of the shower-cleaning process. Your shower cleaner will remove any grime or soap scuds from your shower screens, then move onto the final glass clean and polish. They will thoroughly clean the surfaces inside and outside your shower with a tried-and-trusted glass cleaner, making sure not to leave any smears or smudges.

I am currently injured and unable to do usual house cleaning for standard size 2 bedroom 1 bath unit. Please note unit is on top floor so there are stairs to get in. Spray and wipe small table and two chairs on balcony In garage clean two small mirrors and two wadrobe size mirrors Sweep garage I am very meticulous with my cleaning and have a strong attention to detail so need someone the same. Usually by myself this clean would take me 2.5-3 hours.

Clean the shower only. Not too dirty, but there is scale.
It was a little difficult to co-ordinate a time with Jasmy. When she arrived, I was surprised to see she’d brought her mother with her. It would’ve been nice to know this in advance. Her mother was friendly but kept asking me personal questions while I was trying to cook my dinner, and it made me uncomfortable. The shower floor was clean and the grout was clean, but there is still heaps of scale on the wall tiles near the bottom. Blue cleaning liquid was left all through my bath, black stuff was all over my sink that I’d just cleaned, my bath mat and floor were wet, and the floor of the shower hadn’t be washed out of all the debris from cleaning. I then had to clean it up myself. I don’t think Jasmy is the most experienced cleaner. I won’t be using Jasmy again but I do appreciate the hour she spent cleaning my shower.

Arrived 25 mins earlier than agreed time while I was asleep. Don’t think she understands much English because the task was for the shower and she also cleaned my bath which was not required. My shower floor tiles still have visible scale on them. Previous airtasker helpers have easily removed this.
