We are purchasing a house that needs some maintenance on window frames and architraves in a house. Likely to need a review and assessment. Allowance will drive what we can afford to fix. Items include… new cupboard doors in bedroom, window frames on selected windows, redo eves in a couple of rooms, prefer to allocate a couple of days and do what can be fit, looking for carpenter. I’m looking for an experienced cabinetmaker, furniture maker or carpenter to help create some custom dining bench seating for our dining nook. I’ve attached inspiration photos of the style I’m hoping to achieve. The design: * Two separate freestanding benches that form an L-shape. * Light natural oak / oak-look timber finish. * Open underneath (no storage or bulky cabinetry). * Soft rounded corners and clean, modern edges. * Upholstered seat cushions. * Floating cylindrical upholstered backrests mounted to the walls, as shown in the inspiration photos. Upholstery: I’d like upholstered seat cushions and floating cylindrical wall-mounted backrests, similar to the inspiration photos. The upholstery colour and material are still to be decided, so I’m mainly looking to get the timber structures built first. I’m happy to arrange upholstery separately, but if you can provide this service or work with an upholsterer, I’d love to know! Ideally, I’d appreciate separate pricing for the timber construction and any upholstery work. The roof of my house and garage is connected and open. I think I need a wall framed and clad to separate the spaces from the top of the bricks to the roof. I'm not sure if it's a building requirement, but I think it would be a good idea to prevent pests and dust getting in freely - happy to discuss the project and options though.
