Looking for an old-school mechanic, retiree, or classic car enthusiast to diagnose a non-start issue on my 1985 Mazda 323 parked on the street. The Goal: I want a confirmed diagnosis as a minimum. If you pinpoint the issue and can help me repair it on-site, I am happy to negotiate an additional fee for labor. If it cannot be fixed on the street or requires specialty parts or workshop tools, I will arrange separately. The Symptoms: - The battery is currently flat from sitting, but the health is okay. - When turning the key, there is a whirring sound, but the engine does not catch or fire up. - Pumping the accelerator has no effect. - Full tank of fuel and fuel is visibly getting into the filter and through to carburetor What you need to bring: - A portable jump starter(essential, as jumper leads may not reach due to street parking). - A multimeter / spark tester to check the electrical/ignition system. - Basic hand tools. Repco and Supercheap Auto are within walking distance if we need to source any common parts after you pinpoint the exact issue.

I have a problem in my automatic zd30 diesel 2005. When on drive the rpm max is 2500. Also at 1, 2, and R. When neutral the rpm reaches 4000. When I put it on 4L the rpm is fine on drive. I’ve changed the MAF sensor and the fuel filter. Still same problem. I want someone to solve the problem.

I have been dealing with the rust with sanding paper and paint myself, but I would like someone to help me do a better job, with a sanding machine, then there will be one hole to fill, apply an anti rust product and paint over. The van is in Bondi Beach, but I am happy to come to your garage, buy any products I need to buy, and work on the van with you.
