I have a 2008 Toyota Yaris with a dashboard clock that has gradually become dimmer and is now not working (circled is what it should look like - it no longer appears). I think this is a common VFD power-supply failure where the six transistors powering the VFD filaments overheat and fail. I am looking for someone experienced with automotive electronics / PCB repair / soldering to diagnose and repair the instrument cluster. Ideally, I would prefer the more permanent modification using a buck converter, rather than simply replacing the six transistors, if this is appropriate for my particular board. Hello, My white Toyota Hiace needs some love and I need help. I have been dealing with the rust with sanding paper and paint myself, but I would like someone to help me do a better job, with a sanding machine, then there will be one hole to fill, apply an anti rust product and paint over. The van is in Bondi Beach, but I am happy to come to your garage, buy any products I need to buy, and work on the van with you.
