My insurance company is stating that I need to have a fixed cooking station to insure my campervan. I already have all the cabinetry and complete build done by a professional builder but they are insisting I have a professional camper van converter come and install a fixed cooking station. I already have the cabinetry for the kitchen I just need to have a professional van converter bolt in a cooker and provide a certificate stating that the van has a fixed kitchen. My van has a modification plate already and is registered as a campervan in QLD so I can’t get it registered as a car. This has been a very frustrating process and I would really appreciate some assistance so I can get back on the road. I already have the cooker ready to go, it just needs to be screwed into the cabinet. I can provide photos/videos of the van too. It is very well done and built by @DIYforknuckleheads on YouTube.
