Fix gyp rock and colour the patch

There is a decent sized hole in the wall, the wall itself is in a small laundry. The hole was caused when a house guest that was staying with us, used the dryer without opening the laundry. The laundry area is small, and it dampened the wall enough that when a basket was knocked into the wall, it created a hole. The wall and room are now fully dry. I am pregnant and my partner is constantly at work. I am happy to buy all the materials needed. I just dont know how to do the job properly. And as we live in a rental, I dont want to loose my bond over this silly incident. Please, I hope someone can help! I dont have the materials like plaster or paint here at home, but happy to pay for it or retrieve it before agreed day of appointment.

Updated: needing a plasterer and painter to repair and paint ceilings- 4 bedroom home. It was poorly set 15 years ago and my recent tenant stored heavy objects in the roof space not realising she couldn’t just walk around up there. There’s a lot of cracks - you can see where the gyprock joins.
