Looking for a handyman or locksmith to help open and repair a jammed sliding door lock. Our sliding glass door is locked shut because the internal hook latch lock appears to have seized. The handle and thumb lever will not move and the latch will not retract. The key cylinder was recently replaced but the internal lock body seems jammed/corroded. We’ve already tried: • Turning the key and lever • Removing/detaching the handle • Accessing the lock body • Cutting a small section of the aluminium around the lock area to expose the mechanism Despite this, the latch is still engaged and the door cannot open. Hi, I need the current passage knob sets replaced with entrance knob sets on 4 internal bedroom doors. Photos attached showing exactly what’s there now – (no major door prep expected, but please confirm from the pics). Key details: Two of the doors belong to the same bedroom → those two locks must be keyed alike (same key works both). The other two doors should have their own keys. Looking for a handyman or locksmith to help open and repair a jammed sliding door lock. Our sliding glass door is locked shut because the internal hook latch lock appears to have seized. The handle and thumb lever will not move and the latch will not retract. The key cylinder was recently replaced but the internal lock body seems jammed/corroded. We’ve already tried: • Turning the key and lever • Removing/detaching the handle • Accessing the lock body • Cutting a small section of the aluminium around the lock area to expose the mechanism Despite this, the latch is still engaged and the door cannot open. Looking for someone experienced with sliding door locks who can: • Release the stuck latch / open the door • Remove the damaged lock body • Replace the lock/handle if suitable If suitable, happy to pay additional for a replacement lock/handle - expecting typical hardware-store pricing (~ $30 for the part).
