We are looking to get a small composite deck and some landscaping done in our back yard. Composite Deck will be approx 3100 x 4400 (to go over the red tiles in the photos) to bring the ground level up to the same level as inside. We are also keen to create a low maintenance rock/paved area with some garden beds/pots (similar to AI images.) The main issue is the moisture from minimal sun and pine needles dropping from next door- so trying to come up with a solution to avoid mildew build up/mould - so artificial turf/ timber or porous pavers won’t be a good solution! Task Description: Onsite quote I am looking for an experienced Landscaper to quote to replace rotted timber garden step risers with concrete sleepers. The house is on a slope, and a previous water leak has been identified and fixed, but the ground remains damp. Scope of Work: 1. Demolition: Remove and dispose of existing rotted timber sleepers and vertical timber posts. 2. Excavation: Minor excavation (approx. 150mm–200mm deep/wide) behind each step to allow for drainage. 3. Installation: Install 200mm high Concrete Sleepers (slotted into galvanized steel posts or secured with masonry anchors). 4. Drainage: Install a 100mm socked AG pipe at the base of the tiers and backfill the void behind each sleeper with 20mm drainage gravel (Blue Metal) to manage hill runoff. 5. Finishing: Re-set any loose brick treads using landscape adhesive. Materials (To be discussed): I intend to pay for materials separately (or reimburse with receipts) to keep the task focused on labor. We have a job we need done. It is digging up dirt and putting it into a trailor that will be backed up to the fence. We just need some help leveling the backyard ready for us to lay soil for turf.
