Looking for a fully licensed and insured landscaper/retaining wall contractor to replace rotted timber risers/supports to existing outdoor garden steps with concrete sleepers. Property is on a slope. There is currently water/dampness around the lower stairs. A previous plumbing leak from the house was repaired in June/July; however, the source of the current water has not yet been established. External leak detection is being arranged and any necessary plumbing repairs will be completed before works commence. Scope: • Remove and dispose of existing rotted timber sleepers/risers and vertical posts. • Retain existing brick/concrete stair treads where serviceable. • Install approx. 200mm-high concrete sleeper risers. • Install suitable galvanised steel posts/supports or recommend the most appropriate permanent fixing method. • Minor excavation as required. • Install appropriate drainage behind/beneath sleepers, including socked AG pipe and drainage gravel where required to manage runoff. • Re-set loose brick treads where required. • Cut concrete sleepers to required dimensions. • Remove waste and leave area tidy. Materials: I intend to purchase/pay for materials separately. Please advise approximate quantities required following inspection. Alternatively, materials can be reimbursed at cost with receipts. Requirements: • Fully licensed and insured for this type of work in QLD. • Current public liability insurance. • Experience with concrete sleepers/retaining walls and drainage on sloping sites. • Appropriate concrete cutting equipment. • Please advise your recommended construction method after reviewing the photos/site. I need someone to assess the existing timber retaining wall, drainage and identify the cause of water collecting near the gate and recommend an appropriate drainage solution.
