Hanging two internal doors. All materials are provided. One doors is a 820 x 2040 with concealed hinges. Door frame has precut holes for hinges but further routing will be required into gyprock. Hinge holes will need to be routed in door. Second door is a 920mm cavity slider. Frame and track already installed. It is just hanging the door off the sliding fittings and routing for pull handles on both sides

Hi. Need a door hung inside my house. There is already an existing door there, but I want to put a new, external French door there. The door is new so it needs all relevant holes cut, etc. Might need new hinges if you think the new door is too heavy for the current frame. Just clarifying, im putting an external door inside my house, where an internal door currently is. Thanks.

Looking for a handyman/carpenter to fit a new door to an old door frame. All materials to be purchased by me need someone with the tools and know-how to install. It is an older house, built in 1978, so the door frame is not exact (see measurements). It will therefore need to be trimmed and planed a fair amount, hence we will be using a Solid Timber Pine Core (STPC) door, which will also need to use wide throw hinges (happy to re-use existing hardware) so the door can swing past the inside wall, + fitment of door hardware handle + latch assembly. Happy for you to come and take a look at the job before undertaking work and purchasing materials. The door will also be very heavy, so I'm more than happy to help with assisting/lifting. My house uses cheap internal door handles that keep coming loose, probably need some thread locker applied and tightened. In addition the bathroom locks don't work, I suspect because they are not aligned.
